The Vale Golf & Country Club in Pershore Irrigation

Installation of a full irrigation system

The Vale Golf and Country Club was established in Bishampton in 1991, set in 300 acres of Worcestershire countryside and home to both the championship International course and the Lenches course.

Inscapes were contracted by The Vale Golf & Country Club to install a full irrigation system. The project consisted of installing 8,500m of main line pipes, 7,700m of lateral pipe for the greens, tees, and approaches, 10,000m of control cable, 483 Hunter pop-up sprinkler units, 106 control valves and chambers and 64 hose connection points.

The project faced some difficulties such as the weather. With site being closed due to extreme frost in December and January, and heavy rainfall in March and April. It was the wettest March since 1981, just shy of 60mm of rainfall the week commencing March 27th.
