3G Pitch Installation
As part of a commitment to enhancing sports facilities in South Wales, this project involved the installation of a state-of-the-art 3G (third generation) pitch, making it the first in the region to be approved for football, hockey, and rugby. While requiring a higher initial investment, the advanced surface ensures long-term performance and versatility. The construction process included laying and grading a precision stone base to finished levels, installing kerb edging, and securing bolts for the lighting towers. The fully floodlit facility accommodates a wide range of sports, including football, rugby, tennis, netball, hockey, lacrosse, and rounders. This transformation significantly enhances the sporting opportunities available, benefiting both pupils at the school and the wider community.
